Howl’s Moving Castle endures because all some of us have ever wanted is to fully embody crone energy regardless of chronological age, live in a clean, cozy little witch house, have a sassy/demonic best friend that supports us when we complain about our painfully pretty bisexual boyfriend, and own a collection of useful and attractive aprons.

some of y’all with printed copies of fanfiction are going to die someday and your books will end up at the secondhand book shop and someone is just going to innocently pick up blorbo/shitto enemies to lovers and when i think of it this way let’s keep printing fanfiction

Some time last year, @scullymurphy reported that she had made the typo Malofy instead of Malfoy, and there was an awful lot of shrieking in the chat, to the point of crying laughter, about what kind of character Malofy would be (he tucks color bloc polos into belted jorts, for example). MALOFY!

Since it was her birthday this weekend (HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SCULLEH!!!), I wrote a truly ridiculous little crack fic, Dramoine; OR, Drack Malofy, Second-Rate Detective (rated M for a very short comedic sex scene featuring… synonyms).

The absolutely lovely @micbonbon read it and DREW A MALOFY and I love it so much! I’ve been laughing and flailing every time I look upon it. 🤣😍🤣😍🤣

So that’s a taste of what you can expect from the fic, LOL. Thanks again to @micbonbon, WE LOVE HIM!!!

And happy birthday again to Scully (even though the day has passed, it is still your birthday in my heart!)!

My Drack Malofy fic got a surprise group read in RoR last night, so I’m sending this around again! I’m so delighted that people are still reading it and laughing!!

You seem to get WAY more excited about other ships than you do about dramione. Do you feel obligated to write them? Or do you really ship them? I think you should write whatever you truly want to write ❤️

scullymurphy:

Hmmm I feel like this is an interesting observation considering I’ve written over 500k words of Dramione! 😆 And no, I would not write half a million words of something I feel obligated to write. I love writing Dramione and I really, really ship them. I also really ship a lot of other things. I’m fairly omnivorous that way. But I do not write things I don’t feel – unless it’s part of say, a competition like LDWS rare pairs, which presented some real challenges for me (Blinny and writing anything with Luna – tough for Scully!). But yes, rest assured that outside of that type of parameter, I am not writing what I do not want to write. I love Dramione, I love Theomione, I love NottPott and and Nevmione and Drabior. I love my Millie/Oliver that’s still the only one on AO3. If the ship strikes my fancy and I can feel it, I’ll write it. And if I’m writing it, I truly want to. You can always count on that from me. ❤
